COLLEGE
Two-time captain for the Ohio Bobcats who finished his four-year career with 60 receptions for 666 yards (11.1 avg) and six touchdowns. Was a 2010 All-Mid-American Conference Second Team selection as a sophomore, as well as a MAC Academic All-American that same season.

  • Logged his best season as a junior in 2011, hauling in 24 receptions for 258 yards (10.8 avg) and two touchdowns.
  • Totaled a career-high three touchdowns as a sophomore in 2010, including two against Bowling Green (10/9/10).

PERSONAL
A dual-threat on offense and defense at Parkway (Ohio) High School, finished his career with 1,693 rushing yards and 23 touchdowns, 3,674 passing yards and 27 touchdowns, as well as 476 tackles (307 solo), 13 sacks, five forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries on defense.

  • Named Division 5 Ohio Defensive Player of the Year, Division 5 All-Ohio First Team (linebacker), Division 5 Northwest Ohio Defensive Player of the Year, Division 5 First Team Northwest Ohio (linebacker), as well as the Midwest Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year as a senior in 2007.
  • Majored in engineering at Ohio.
  • Son of Alan and Kay Brandt and the late Roy Thompson III.
