  • Drafted by the Detroit Lions in the seventh round (245th overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft.

COLLEGE: The second FAMU Rattler to be drafted in three years, Hepburn finished his career with 163 tackles (109 solo), including 15 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, 11 pass defenses, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.

2012: The Rattlers’ leading tackler with 86 tackles (60 solo), including 9.5 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, seven pass breakups, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.

  • Earned All-MEAC honors and was named to the All State/AFCA Good Works Team.

2011: Finished the season as FAMU’s second-leading tackler with 63 tackles (41 solo), including 3.5 tackles for loss, one sack, two pass defenses and one forced fumble.

  • Recorded a season-high 14 tackles (10 solo) against South Florida.
  • Had two six-tackle performances against Savannah State and Bethune-Cookman.

2010: Totaled 14 tackles (eight solo), including two tackles for loss, one sack and two interceptions in the 10 games he played in.

  • Garnered a season-high six tackles against North Carolina A&T.
  • Mad multi-tackle performances against Tennessee State, South Carolina State and Morgan State.

2009: Red-shirted

PERSONAL: Lettered in football and wrestling at North Rockland (N.Y.) High School where he finished his senior season with 132 tackles, eight sacks and one interception. Earned the Journal News Scholar Athlete Award and was also a member of both the National Honor Society and Science Honor Society.

  • Has two siblings, Yvana and David Hepburn.
  • A biochemistry major, Hepburn completed an internship at North Texas University where he worked with Dr. Robby Petros on a project relating to a cure for cancer.
