ESPN POLL: NFL players want to see Megatron in the Super Bowl

In an NFL Nation Confidential poll, Calvin Johnson ranked third as the player his colleagues would most like to see reach a Super Bowl

Calvin Johnson ranks high among his NFL peers for players they would like to see play in the Super Bowl for the first time.

Johnson ranked third in a poll conducted by ESPN. Results were revealed Wednesday.

No. 1 was Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson, with 18.4 percent of the 320 players who voted in the ESPN poll. Peterson got 59 votes.

Atlanta Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez finished a close second, with 17.5 percent of the votes and 56 total votes. Johnson got 8.1 percent of the vote.

Rounding out the top six were Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson (4.7 percent), Texans receiver Andre Johnson (4.4 percent) and Eagles quarterback Michael Vick (3.4 percent).

Wilson and the Seahawks will face the Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII on Feb. 2 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
