Lions-specific availability has died down in Indianapolis with coach and GM availability completed for this year, but Tim Twentyman and Mike O'Hara are still talking Detroit football.

Mikel Leshoure headlined Twentyman's notebook today.

"(He) might still have a place in the Detroit Lions backfield," said Twentyman.

With a New Orleans-style offense imminent under offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi, Leshoure could have a role in different offensive sets.

"If you go back and look at what the Saints did, they used multiple backs in a lot of different ways," said GM Martin Mayhew.

"I'm encouraged about that for Mikel and it could bode well for him in terms of getting more playing time and having a more specific, defined role in our offense"
