PRACTICE REPORT: Johnson, Delmas sit out Lions bonus practice

Receiver Calvin Johnson and safety Louis Delmas only players to sit out today’s practice

Playing on Thanksgiving Day last Thursday afforded the Lions an extra long weekend of rest.

They were back on the practice field today, however, for what amounted as a bonus practice. In a typical week, the Lions will have a walkthrough on Tuesday as they begin putting elements of the week’s game plan in. Today was a regular practice for the team.

The only players to sit out of practice were receiver Calvin Johnson and safety Louis Delmas, which is usual, early in the week.

The Lions are not required to have an injury report today.

Cornerback Chris Houston was back at the portion of practice open to the media after missing the Thanksgiving Day game with a foot injury.

Rookie Darius Slay started in place of Houston vs. Green Bay and played his best game of the season.
