Delmas is among the Lions’ inactives against the Packers, but that didn’t stop him from joining in the fun with teammates before the game.
Delmas is close to returning to game readiness and we’ll likely see him back on the field for the playoffs next week.
He returned to the practice field on Friday for the first time since having arthroscopic surgery on his sprained right knee Dec. 17.
Delmas hasn’t played since hurting the knee against these very same Packers on Thanksgiving.
Lions defensive coordinator Gunther Cunningham noticed a little more pep in Delmas’ step on Friday and told media members that meant he was close to being healthy.
The Lions could certainly use Delmas’ speed and ability to cover in the back end of their secondary as they head into what they hope is a long playoff run.
