Detroit Lions' Isaiah Ekejiuba Teams Up With Covenant House Michigan For Pre-Thanksgiving Event "Dinner In The Lions Den"

7 November, 2011, Detroit, MI- Detroit Lions’ Isaiah Ekejiuba is teaming up with Covenant House Michigan for a special Pre-Thanksgiving event for their residents. The private dinner will take place at Covenant House Michigan, located at 2959 Martin Luther King Blvd, on November 22, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Ekejiuba and a few of his Lions teammates will help serve food to the residents of Covenant House as well as spend quality time with the over 80 teens who reside there.

“I have been looking for an opportunity to get more involved with the community here in Detroit, when VPR presented me with this opportunity,” said Ekejiuba, a linebacker for the Detroit Lions. “After learning more about Covenant House and the work that they do for homeless teens in Detroit, I was honored to be a part of such a great event.”

Dinner in the Lions Den, will be sponsored by: The Honey Baked Ham Co., The Detroit Lions, Zoup! and Tim Hortons. Valiant Public Relations & Events (VPR) along with local networking group Building Bridges, throw a monthly young professionals event, but during the holiday season decided to focus on giving back during the holidays.   

“This is what the holidays are all about, not only being thankful for what you have but giving back to others who don’t.”  says Ekejiuba.
